Multiple Cell Back Haul Demarcation with Consolidation Point
The Clearfield FieldSmart® FDP-KIS box can be deployed as a stand-alone demarcation point either on or in-building of the carrier’s presence of the cell site. The box is the demarcation or hand-off point of responsibility between the carrier and cell-back haul provider. The box will support any media in any splice or pre-terminated splicing configuration. Additionally, optical component integration of the Clearview® Cassette provides for the mux/demux gateway point when coarse or densewave products are required to address any fiber exhaust scenarios. The KIS box supports a total quantity of four Clearview Cassettes providing for the ultimate in flexibility due to the highly configurable nature of the cassette. Optimized for Clearfield’s FieldShield® fiber delivery system, delivery paths are quickly established from the tower to the hut to the KIS box and fiber is just as easily pushed or pulled in between.
Cell Back Haul Demarcation/Co-location
The Clearfield FieldSmart FDP-KIS box provides ganging capabilities allowing the cell back haul provider to dedicate one point-of-presence in a dedicated area of the cell site. One box can be dedicated to the provider and their long-haul OSP cables while at the same time accepting the Carrier’s cell traffic from a separate, secure, and dedicated KIS box that can be ganged to the provider’s KIS box. As additional carriers are added, an additional KIS box is ganged and fiber is delivered from the provider. Optimized for Clearfield’s FieldShield fiber delivery system, delivery paths are quickly established from the tower to the hut to the KIS box and fiber is just as easily pushed or pulled in between.
Cell Back Haul Interconnect/Demarcation
For applications where an interconnect point is desired on the deck up the cell tower, the FieldSmart FDP-KIS box provides the same flexibility up on the tower as it does on the ground. Fiber delivered to the box can be of any media construction including the time and labor saving system of Clearfield’s FieldShield product line. The KIS box will support up to 1 ¼” conduit integration in multiple entry/exit ports down to a 10mm FieldShield microduct airtight/watertight coupler. Fiber assemblies can be configured with an IP68 connector to the radio head and a pushable SC or LC interface to the Clearview Cassette that has been pre-stubbed with a pushable 6 or 12 fiber FieldShield assembly that is pushed or “dropped” down the tower to the next interconnect point described above.
