Family. A unique concept in this country…
I work for Clearfield. They pay me to do my job. That’s how corporate America works; you do your job and you get your pay. However, what most people miss is that corporations are made up of people. And in their lives, people almost always have life events and circumstances that have an effect on how they live and how they do their jobs. Clearfield is no different in that aspect. But Clearfield is different in how they handle that aspect of their employees lives.
I had a life event that caused me to reach out to senior management and “ask” for a little leeway. I was granted that leeway, and continued to move forward with my life and job. Now, I have reached a point where I no longer need that leeway, and have asked the management to adjust my situation. I thanked them and the response I received afterwards was (and this is a quote), “No problem. It’s what families do.”
Now, I don’t know about you, but I can think of no place I would rather be than a place that treats me like family.
That’s what Clearfield is…Family. We fight with each other and we tease each other. At the end of the day, we support each other because we know that there is nothing more important than family.
And for those of you who are customers of Clearfield…you are part of the family too. We hold you in the same regard as one of us. So if you have an issue, a concern or a comment, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We will do everything in our power to make sure you are taken care of, that your concerns are addressed and you are happy with the outcome…much like the way I have been these last few years.
