Every year, the media pummels us with messages about getting in shape for swimsuit season. I thought it might be interesting to address getting one’s business in shape for fall (and the long winter to come).
There’s an unconscious desire to change with each season – and that carries into our business lives. So, it’s important to make sure that your business is in top physical form.
Here are some suggestions – with a bit of a fitness slant:
1) Roll out some new initiatives to incentivize and enliven sales.
2) Weigh in with positive reinforcement to bolster employee productivity.
3) Strengthen your client relationships by reaching out and letting them know how important they are to you.
4) Lift your employees’ spirits with an impromptu appreciation event.
5) Raise your company’s visibility by doing something noteworthy in the community or through other newsworthy actions.
6) Build your body of work by introducing a new product or service.
7) Run a check-up on operations to ensure you’re operating at maximum efficiency.
8) Sit up and take notice of what’s working and what’s not.
9) Jump to attention at suggestions for improvement – even from the most unexpected sources.
10) Leap into fall with the attitude that this is your season of success.
It’s not too late to get your business in shape for the autumn. So take time now to get ready for the opportunities ahead.
